Stefano Morri on the recent reforms of the Crisis Code
Last November, the Order of Accountants in Milan tried to sound a sample of 500 thousand companies to see how many of them would trigger the alarm procedure provided by the new and controversial code for business crises. The result was disconcerting: four out of ten. The code approved during the yellow and green government under the aegis of Minister Alfonso Bonafede and waiting to come into force in August 2020, would cause for all these companies the intervention of an external body set up at the Chamber of Commerce that should help prevent the crisis from becoming bankrupt. But for many professionals, this mechanism risks becoming, as Mr. Stefano Morri, Attorney at Law, wrote, "a bureaucratic path that weighs down businesses.”
