Family and Succession law
We offer legal advice in both contentious and non-contentious family and inheritance law matters and support our Clients in private law matters governing family relationships in their broadest sense.
The department deals with:
- Family law - crisis in marriage and civil unions, cohabitation agreements, legal/marital status of the family, marriage agreements, intra-family damage compensation;
- Protection of minors and vulnerable persons - placement and custody of offspring, international child abduction, special guardianship, forfeiture or limitation of parental responsibility, care of the severely disabled with the “Dopo di noi” (“After Us” law), traditional and special adoption, adult adoption, and medically assisted procreation;
- Protection of assets – estate funds, trusts, fiduciaries and trust agreements, family agreements;
- Inheritance law - succession, wills, living wills, division of assets, protection of legitimate heirs, inter-family estate planning and transmission.
