Biography

Before joining Morri Rossetti, Carlo gained specific experience in leading international law firms, both in Italy and abroad, as well as at the Judicial Cooperation Office of the Italian Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels (BEL).

He mainly deals with corporate and commercial law, extraordinary corporate transactions, preparation and implementation of corporate governance and compliance models (especially with regard to data protection law). He also boasts particular expertise in drafting and negotiating national and international commercial agreements, with specialization in antitrust and regulatory profiles, mainly in the automotive, Information and Communications Technology, insurance, energy, organized large-scale distribution and advertising sectors.

He is Head of the TMT and Data Protection Department within which he deals with law and regulation applicable to Internet, online publishing and advertising, privacy and data protection, telecommunications, copyright, e-commerce, information technology, media and outsourcing.

Graduated in Law with honors at the University of Palermo, he attended one academic semester at the Georg August University of Göttingen (GE) and received a LL.M. in Advanced European Legal Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges (BEL), focusing on European law, comparative corporate law and competition law.

He also attended an Executive Master in the field of Digital Business at the Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore, in collaboration with Netcomm, and he is certified as Data Protection Officer according to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 and obtained certificates of competence in the areas of "Data Protection Officer: Data Security Area" and "Privacy System in the Company: Audit Activities" issued by TÜV Italia.

He is also a member of Federprivacy, IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), Assofintech (Italian Association of Fintech and Insurtech), as well as of the working group “GDPR” of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy.

Moreover, he is a member of the Italian Academy of Internet Code (IAIC) and the author of several publications on corporate law and corporate compliance.

He is responsible for the TMT and Data Protection Observatory of the Firm, a useful support and tool for those dealing with issues related to the processing and protection of personal data.
