Franco Guariglia

Biography

Franco is a licensed lawyer with a distinguished experience in Corporate matters. 

He studied in the U.S. as a foreign exchange student and later graduated cum laude in law from the University of Parma. 

He joined Barilla in 1982, rising to Group General Counsel and Chief Legal Corporate and Compliance Officer. After leaving the Group in 2021, he remained Corporate Secretary, Member of the Monitoring Committee and consultant while joining Franzosi Dal Negro Setti as Of Counsel in corporate and business Law. 

In the course of his long-standing experience, Franco operated in Italy and abroad, following the international expansion of the Group, now operating in 100+ countries with 35+ subsidiaries. Franco has been a managing director of several Group subsidiaries and a Group Corporate Secretary. 

Franco’s experience includes Civil-Corporate Law (national and international contracts, alliances, JV’s, incorporations, governance), Commercial Law (including Industry-Trade relations), M&A, Agrifood, IP, Competition and Consumer Law, Compliance, International Trade Law (Tariffs, anti-dumping, countervailing).

Franco has been frequent lecturer on various legal topics in Italy and abroad. 

In 2025 he joined Morri Rossetti & Franzosi as Of Counsel.
