Matteo Gariboldi
Biography
Matteo deals with commercial and corporate law, providing assistance to leading private equity funds and national companies in all their extraordinary operations and advocating in complex arbitral or judicial disputes - as defence counsel or arbitrator.
He has also gained experience in restructuring and insolvency procedures as well as in public economic and procurement law, assisting various entities, including the Lombardy Region, the Ministry of Public Works and the State Railways. He was an expert member of the Regional Administrative Technical Commission of the Lombardy Region.
Prior joining Morri Rossetti, Matteo worked in renowned Milanese law firms including, for many years, that of Guido Rossi, with whom he was also advisor of the first voluntary takeover bid in Italy. Throughout his career, he was personally involved in the editing of draft law no. 1016/1988 on competition and market protection.
Matteo graduated in Law at Università degli Studi of Milan and was admitted to the Milan Bar in 1991 and to legal aid in the higher courts in 2005.
He was a lecturer and expert at the University of Milan on various subjects of antitrust law, financial instruments and financial and banking law; he taught courses on 'IPO' and 'Project Financing Rules' in the master's course 'Capital Market Laws and Regulations' organised by the same university.
He is the author of articles published in leading scientific journals and participates as a lecturer at various conferences.
