Morri Rossetti & Franzosi: Silvia Stabile joins the Firm

Morri Rossetti & Franzosi continues to strengthen its IP practice with the appointment of Silvia Stabile as Of Counsel. She will lead the Art & Cultural Heritage Department, with a specific focus on advising private clients and family offices on the management, protection, and enhancement of artistic assets and collections, further consolidating the Firm’s Private Wealth offering.

The appointment of Silvia Stabile marks a further step in the growth of the Firm’s practice and will allow Morri Rossetti & Franzosi to further strengthen and expand its expertise in copyright and IP licensing, as well as in art law and cultural heritage law.

Silvia is widely recognised as one of the leading experts in art law, with more than twenty-five years of experience gained at prestigious national and international law firms. She has advised cultural institutions, foundations, private clients, and leading luxury and fashion companies on the management, protection, and enhancement of historical and artistic assets and collections. She has also overseen the development of major philanthropic artistic and cultural initiatives, as well as the sponsorship of significant restoration projects involving historic monuments and artworks forming part of the national cultural heritage. In addition, she has developed extensive expertise in the protection of creativity in all its artistic expressions, with particular focus on historical and contemporary design and photography.

She regularly participates in master’s programmes and specialised courses, contributing presentations and case studies on the management of family and corporate collections, including within the Family Office Master of AIFO Academy and at the ABIServizi “Banche per la Cultura” Observatory. She is a lecturer in the Executive Course “Management of Artistic and Cultural Heritage and Corporate Collections” at Gallerie d’Italia Academy – Intesa Sanpaolo, and serves as Scientific Coordinator of the Master in Law and Taxation of International Art Markets at the IPSOA Wolters Kluwer Professional School.

Alongside her professional practice, Silvia has developed a substantial editorial and scholarly activity. She is the author of numerous monographs and academic articles in the fields of IP and art law and has, over the years, contributed interviews and in-depth commentary to leading publishing houses and specialised journals, focusing on the legal aspects of art collecting and the art market. She is the editor of the ARTech Law column of Inside Art and curator of the volume “Law and Taxation of International Art Markets”, published by Wolters Kluwer (2024).

I am truly delighted to collaborate with Silvia, with whom I also share a long-standing friendship. Her undisputed expertise, deep passion, and extensive international experience represent a significant asset for our Firm and align perfectly with our growth strategy by bringing a valuable and culturally enriching specialisation. This is a focus we also intend to further develop within the private sector, an area in which the Firm has experienced substantial growth in recent years,” commented Stefano Morri, Senior Partner of the Firm.
